Call out to me....ha

car fax is stupid… and it would say engine replaced under warranty through dealer… that wouldnt bother me if i saw it on a history report.

I don’t think it shows up on Carfax… but any buyer can request maintenance records of any warranty work done from the dealer.

oh well if it states that it was through warranty and replaced by a dealership in the report thats a little different than what I was thinking. I’ve never used one before.

honestly, that itself doesnt bother me because im plan on pretty much keeping this car as long as I live since they are one of my favorite cars and theirs a unlimited source of mods to do to them…

but it will affect the dealership If I threaten them straight up saying I no long want the car and I want my down payment money back…they will be taking a HUGE loss for dropping money on a new motor and for the car itself since not many people want to buy a 46k car that already has a new motor in it.

it WILL show up on car fax…

my 98 camaro had a motor go under the warranty when I first had it as well…that only took 3 days to replace and have back to me under denooyer. That showed up under car fax. Then I put the turbo on it and had a problem (was my fault) and the motor went again…I had a local shop put in a new motor and that too show up on the car fax…that cars, car fax comes up that it has had 3 motors in it lol

If it didn’t go on carfax, then the numbers wouldn’t match… and if you ever did sell that car someone could potentially sue you. :sad

Cars sold AS IS in a private sale, so it is up to the buyer to find out if it is indeed a #'s matching car or if there are any “hidden” preoblems with it.
