Most of us don’t remove the exif data so if you save the picture then look at the file properties you can see all the camera settings.

used an old canon body (350d) and either a canon kit lens (18-55 / f4-5.6), tamron (55-200 / f4-5.6), or a tamron (28-75 / f2.8)

post process in CS3

the second last picture is awesome

Like this thread, keep em coming :).

Im just getting into photography, picked up a d80 the other day just been messing around with it.

BUMP !

I am a total amatuer here but here’s a few decent ones I took at Dunn Tire and Empire dragway.

Dunn Tire

Camera is a Nikon D40x
Lens: either a Tamron 60mm F2 or the kit lens 55-200
ISo: no clue
Shutter is typically 1/80th if i’m near the starting line or 1/100th if i’m at the finish line
Aperture: I leave it on auto

Beech Bend raceway in KY

starting line shots are at around 1/1000th or so iirc

Beech Bend raceway motion shots:

For post picture editing I just use the tools that come up when you open the pic on your computer screen. I crop it, and may lighten it up a touch. Nothing fancy. I host them on photobucket which kills the resolution, but it’s a quick and easy way to get a pic hosted.

Excellent work here guys. I love to see threads like this, they always give people a great opportunity to see the work of others and implement new skills and techniques into their own photos. I never took my photography really to level that I wanted, however I took the time to learn a whole bunch about all aspects of the game. Im really critical of the work I have done in the past, but its only appropriate to share. Everything posted was taken with a Nikon D90 body, 35mm 1.8 lens, various lighting equipment and processed in Photoshop CS5. Keep shooting, ask questions!
