i am looking for used steel barrels with locking lids… there used to be a couple places that sold them around me but these have since closed.
anyone know of a spot?
Try Barrelhead in Troy.
I know they sell barrels because Ive seen their truck when they pick up the plastic barrels at my work. Im just not sure if they sell metal ones.
thanks… anyone else got a lead?
are you tubbing some shock towers on something?
cause i know something that works better
What?
I may have one you can have
We have very durable hard/thick empty plastic barrels at my work with locking lids. They ship & store the chemicals we use at work, when we are done we clean them out and we have probably 100 or so empty ones with locking tops. If you’re interested I could probably ask my boss and see what he wants for a few.
open top 17h 55 gallon drums at capital container in albany, right above 23 truck stop near the port of albany. We order them there by the trailer load
We get those too and we leave them out by the dumpster and usually the guy from Barrelhead takes them. You need a tool to unscrew the caps.
Flat bed trailer fenders
Nope different barrels, 100% guarantee they are different. No tool needed.
well these have a little hole with a screw on cap. Really you can get the caps off with two screwdrivers but the tool just works better.
The barrels Joey is referring to are made of PVC and have tops that are held on with a big clamp (V-band style, wicked JDM).
^^ Yesss, PVC is what I was looking for, not plastic.
OP, lemme know if they’re something you’d be interested in, we have a ton of them.
If you are using them for storage of chemicals or solvents or whatever, they are far superior to steel. No worries about rust and corrosion. If you need them for something else, good luck haha.
i still need steel barrels, however i might be down for some plastic barrels for something else… get me a price for like 1 or 10
thanks in advance
Come get the plastic ones at my work when theyre out. We just leave them out for anybody to take.
i live about an hour south of alany so it would be tricky to time that…
i have a few 55 gal drums at the shop we use for oil ? if ya can use them come get em p/m me if ya want em
