all it needs is one little bite and down goes the animal in a few hours. It’s smaller and a lot quicker than the big ass hippo and could easilly bite it, run away, and come back later to feast.

wikipedia said they have over 50 bacteria on their teeth and have been known to eat water buffalo. the venom can take up tp a week to take effect in larger animals.
so either they bite the hippo and wait… or their teeth can’t get far enough into the hippo to get into the blood stream well enough to kill it… ???

they are only good agianst bigger stuff if they are in a pack same with wolves.
they are not going to beat a lion, hippo, tiger, silverback, bear, etc… by themselves, but in a pack they are tough.
i think they are African Army ants.
i remember it said there were cases of them killing elephants.
