Given what you said you were looking for, the Shelby would be your better choice.
Has the power, looks, price, the right # of pedals, and a roof you (or your date) can look thru. FWD, tho, but that’s probably better for you to learn on anyway.
(Of course, I like the Camaro’s color better…)
