Hi, i’m wondering if there is anyone who know’s how to change a header with no precat on the Sentra SE-R and make it pass emissions?
If so how long does this take?
Just wanna get rid of the nissan defective precat issue on my new car.(2002 sentra SE-R)

you should be fine with just buying and after market header and bolting it on shouldn’t be too hard , a precat is designed for only cold starts so emissions shouldn’t be a problem if the main cat is fine.
really? i never knew that becase i my self have a spec v and was thinking the same thing…i wanna get rid of the nasty pre cat header and replace it w/ a reular one w/o a pre cat…
you better do it quick
the car is run at operating temperature for the emissions test. and the inspecters are supposed to look to make sure all the stock emissions components are present.
but if some came without the pre cat you can get away with it no problem.
plus half of us don’t check for the cat anyways.
