Basically what happened: They made roughly 4 episodes of skits before he quit. From what I’ve heard, they are going to show the skits, but they never taped the parts where Chapelle does his stand up to intro the skits and all. Whether they will have him do that for these 4 episodes is unknown. I’m guessing they’ll try to extend the 4 episodes and make it more like 6 by throwing in way too many commercials.

Creative differences is the official reason. He never went nuts and went to South Africa or anything.
