I’ll be modest this year. All I want is a ESS Sc for the car but really with the wedding coming we are not exchanging this year. Which means she will still expect something.
Ill settle for health care.
Woman and I are getting each other a fridge.
I like the pay off a layaway for someone idea. I’ll make it a point to do 1-2 of those at some point in the next month.
ok, so charity is in this year
I’m going to pay off 3 layaway accounts

Welp sounds like Im going to walmart and opening 3 layaway accounts with lots of kids toys on them.
Sounds like Im going to profit this christmas.
Especially after you sell that shit on ebay while claiming you donated it to charity on your taxes. That’s a triple play.
Now THAT is getting in the holiday spirit!
For Christmas I just want somebody to tell me which which page Santa Claus is found on in the bible.
The wife and I have always been good about scaling back on gifts to each other, even more so since our daughter was born. The first Christmas after our daughter was born I splurged and got her a diamond necklace with my xmas bonus since it was a big year for us and you can’t really go nuts buying for a <1 year old anyway. Since then we get a bunch of stuff for the kid and just a couple small things for each other.
What I really look forward to around the holidays is huge family/friend parties at our house. We probably spend as much on food and booze between Thanksgiving and New Years as we do on gifts for our family. With lots of family and friends visiting from out of town our house is like a hotel for a month or so.
:werd:
Like the past 8 years, I’m refusing to ask for anything this Christmas. I can’t imagine as an adult, asking people for gifts.
Makes sense since your daughter will never remember what you got (Or didn’t get) her for xmas. My wife and I exchanged the first few years we were dating, then we just found it was pointless and haven’t exchanged since.
When people ask, I tell them. I would never go up to a relative and say “You know what you can get me for Xmas…”
That is truly fucking hilarious!
thread save!!!
Perfect!
and accurate
i havent bought my kids anything for christmas in… actually i dont think i ever have.
that’s the beauty of having kids when most people don’t… they buy gifts for your kids and since there are like 10 people doing that i dont have to buy anything for them. whats more is that my oldest’s birthday is the 29th… never bought him a present… same story, he gets crap from everyone else so no need for me to get him anything.
same story as most here with kids as far as what i want for christmas… just want the kids to be happy and they will be… yay
^ You are the devil.
all i want are ekk2 mounts and a nice bottle of scotch
I just got a $400 package from Griot’s Garage and my wife told me I should have asked for it for Christmas. So I guess I did my wife’s, daughter’s, and mother-in-law’s shopping for them. I wonder who is giving me what.Lol
