Where’s the best/most affordable place to get a real tree? Haven’t gotten one in years.
Dig it out of the ground yourself because people forgot how to have a fun old fashioned family Christmas, and are satisfied with scrawny, dead, overpriced trees that have no special meaning.
I paid $45 for a tree at Boston Hills Nursery and it is the biggest tree I could have accidentally gotten. My wife liked it so I cut it down. My entire dining room is now a tree. I think that is a pretty reasonable price for getting to play in the woods with the kids and getting my pick of trees off the farm.
Paid 54.99 mine posted above from Adams Nursery on Sheridan. It is a Grand Fir tree.
I have pictures of 4 of our trees but the 12 foot tree just arrived so I will wait to post pictures. 
$40 from the boy scouts. They trim and load it.
They should be good at trimming and loading

Had to drop some pines in my yard to make way for the new septic system so I ended up chopping the top off one and got me a tree fo free. Not as full and bushy as a purpose grown tree but it’s not bad.
You still doing the christmas tree farm thing or did you sell that off?
Was started to fund the new build home. Bought new house. No need for property. No need for trees. We planted upwards of 350 the first year but for various reasons, few survived the winter. Still have a great number growing in pots at a nursery and still trying to work out something with my buddy to continue elsewhere.

Just took this one of the families tree.
My buddy who owns the nursery cranked out nearly 500 holiday wreaths this season. A pretty good increase from his numbers last season. I gave him a shitload of Pine boughs from the trees I took down in my yard so he was able to make me one in return. Didn’t use the boughs I gave him for mine though. Used some Holly branches he found in the woods and now I have a great smelling wreath with real Holly berries on it, along with the Pine cones. Came out awesome.
Blurry but the angle is kind of neat because you can see 3 of my trees.
