alright back on topic, got a little more done on the intake manifold, I have to go buy a dremel to get in between the runners anrd what not, but the plenum is mostly done (aside from welding the holes obviously)I decided to round out the sharp edges on the manifold for a unique look, the runners I am starting to block sand today… some pictures of the progress

whats the plans for coating that manifold?

If its powder, there is a WAY easier solution to smoothing that out like glass.

KL Primer is a product I use. Its a powdercoat, you shoot it on HEAVY, do partial cures (sands easier) and 1-3 coats depending on how much is needed to sand off to smooth a part out. I shot this WRX manifold with it. All I did was sand blast the manifold clean, shoot it with KL and sand it with 320 smooth. took about an HR max, most of that was shooting the powder and waiting for it in the oven. About 20 mins sanding time by hand and a DA where possible. Then it gets warmed back up to about 160 and shot with the color powder. Came out like glass, and that was a very rough sand cast manifold.

I know your knocking off casting lines and what not, but once they are filed or ground off, sand blast the entire thing, and KL it… If its getting painted with autobody paint, then light skim with some glaze and 320 it out for primer.

It is indeed getting powdercoated, that primer looks to be exactly what I want haha cuz hand sanding this thing sucks balls… I plan on bringing it to the fabricators Saturday to have the holes welded, Ill be in touch with you about getting it hit with that primer soon
