could a stabilizer link be anything OTHER than a swaybar end link?

A friend of my mom’s took her car to get inspected at monroe. They said she need a stabilizer link ASAP or her suspension would fail and her car would crash. I looked around at both sides of the front suspension and found nothing other than bad struts (which they also recommended). BTW: my moms friend is a 28 year old relatively hot italian girl, so i think they may have been trying to screw her over…

It’s a 98 sebring with dual wishbone suspension, for the record… Both sway bar links were perfectly fine.

rod end

it’s typed on the sheet as stabilizer link. No one calls it that.

sway bar, anti-sway bar is a stabilizer.

google image seems to indicate nothing other than sway bar link…

guess so

Take her car back yourself and ask them to show you what they’re talking about. Then, after you save the day, you can get some 28 year old relatively hot italian ass.

i am already saving the day… i am getting the job done for 1/4 of what they quoted her… 800 for 4 struts! yikes.

I’d pay $800 for 4 struts.

MRS ROBINSON ?

yeah, so would i, uninstalled even… but not for monroe brand garbage struts…

PiCs Of GiRl In QuEsTiOn!

Anyhow, it’s a sway bar end link. And you can drive around with it totally disconnected, and no, you won’t crash your car. I did it in the Celica because I
wanted to see what would happen. The Car just had as much body roll as a Greyhound bus.

oh, i know what the sway bar link does… shit, i drove my 240 for a week with no front sway bar… it’s nuts!

the elsise doesnt have them at all… probably because the suspension is sooo stif anyways…

Is it a Sebring convertible? If so it was based on the JA platform a la Cirrus/Stratus/Breeze. They handle nicely when the tire sidewall isn’t HUGE and flexible. But then they ride worse than a castoga wagon.

teh coupe.

Is that the same thing as a CONESTOGA wagon?

Noob.

the only other think i can think of is a lateral link like a dogbone link but…MEH…but Stabilizer Link is sway bar link

YES!

is this the same friend of your mom that i am probably thinking about?

About $45.00 from a parts store and 12-15 mins. to change. Not a lift threatening part to be bad
