CP Racing - Triangulated Fender Braces

As many of you know – and some of you may not – I am quite well connected with CP Racing (http://www.cpracing.ca). I worked there for a while and am friends with several of their employees, as well as Chris and Pat themselves. Thus, I have been able to work out a group buy deal for SON and NEO members on their new S13 Fender Braces (deals on other products in the works).

Here’s the description from CP’s website:

89-94 Nissan 240sx s13 triangulated fender braces, mounts behind factory or aftermarket fenders to existing holes for door hinges and along front-end frame rail. Designed to greatly increase the rigidity of the front clip of the vehicle. Can be used with 19+ wheels, brace comes nowhere near tire. Like all CP RACING & DESIGNS products, braces are triangulated for maximum strength. All hardware is provided as is a comprehensive installation guide. Immediately noticeable difference.

These braces are made of a high quality, MIG welded, mild steel. They’re extremely stiff (believe me, I’ve looked them over quite thoroughly, and tested their strength a little bit ;)). They mount behind the fenders, to the factory door bolt locations and to the upper frame rail, with the supplied hardware. This braces a location on S13s that many have said is the weakest part of the car – where the firewall meats the upper frame rails. They were prototyped, built and tested on their test car, which happens to be my old S13, so I’ve had a lot of opportunity to check them for stiffness/rigidity, and to see just how effective they really are… they make a BIG difference… probably an even more noticeable difference than their tri-bars.

MSRP on their site is $175.00 USD (~$225.63 CAD)

The prices for the group buy are as follows:

(Minimum order of 5 units. Shipping is included.)

5-10 Orders: $175.00 CAD
11-20 Orders: $167.50 CAD
21+ Orders: $161.50 CAD

These prices are very close to cost price, and as such, about as cheap as you’ll ever find them. These are for SON and NEO members only please!

Orders will be placed on Sunday, October 31st.

If you’re interested in this group buy, I will need to receive full payment along with the following information, by Saturday, October 30th, 2004 (10/24/04).

Just to clarify, these price apply for one set of two (left and right) braces?

Also, how complicated is the install on these, do the doors need to be removed in order to attach to the hinges?

DRE

Yes, this is for a complete set (both bars, left and right), with hardware and instructions.

They’re quite easy to install. You do not need to take the doors off, only the fenders.

id be interested for sure.

GT

sounds interesting, but you have to assure us that they will be shipped out within the timeframe originally set. I don’t want to buy somthing and be told it’ll be here next friday and still be waiting 2 months down the line. Which has happened EVERY time i have delt with CP. I’m not bashing products or the guys, just want to make damn well sure that if i place an order it will actually come within a few weeks and i’m not stuck waiting on parts forever.

whatabout the triangulated strut bars, put those up for this group buy, or an entire package buy ie:2 strutbars, 2 fender braces

I’ll set up a group buy on the bars as well.

Also, don’t worry about the shipping thing, I’ll make sure it’s taken care of.

… Anyone who’s interested please reply with the information listed above. ^^^

They’ve just done a production run on the braces and have a large number painted, boxed and ready to go. They’ll be shipped out as soon as I send them the final payment.

So who’s down for this?

Is tax included in the mentioned price(s)?

send my tc rods with them. Or i’ll be forced to limp my brandnew motor up there…and on all those back roads it will eb incredibly hard not to rip hard into it. So do us all a favour and save everyone the time of having to read another story of how i blew up my 6th motor in a year…

is this GB still going on?

If so, im very interested… do you have the minimum of 5 people yet?

Is this a one time deal or will you keep running this? B/c I DEFINITELY want them, but I’m too broke now since i’m buying brakes today :S

Yes it’s still on.

i want a set

Ok, here’s the deal…

I’ve had 4 people tell me they’re in for sure, and around 3 or 4 say they’re interested, but at a later date. SO, I’m going to extend this group buy by 2 weeks.

IF you want to be in for sure, please post here, and then PM or EMAIL me your information so I can keep this all organized and recorded.

Thanks,

Marc

PS. Yes, shipping and tax are both included in the above prices.

what happend to this?

this died because there was no interest.

and as well cp racing is low on the scale of products most people like to promote.
