culture clash

Shame on myself. Did not pick up on your context of the post.

throw in some smilies damn it

I can still smell the burning

I smell GTO transmission.

:danny: Didn’t see your edit. And no way would I take it back. Nascar is archaic, aside from safety regs it is a non-evolving series. I’ll agree that it’s moderately impressive in person, as I have been to a few, but frankly you can get shitfaced at any racing event where the speed are high and it’s the exact same thing. I was making the point that european/asian manufacturers have an infinitely deep reservoir of racing engineering…and it’s just like a mouth-breathing cretin to say Toyota has no place in Nascar. Why is that exactly? Is it because they broke into the ol’ boys club and did extremely well using carb technology that they hadn’t raced with since the 70’s? Is it because a subset of americans hold onto Nascar like it’s the last fucking bastion of motorsports, and being themselves ignorant of what kinds of racing led to Nascar? Or is it the multitudes of different racing series across the globe that is somehow unfoundedly inferior to Nascar? What exacly is the argument.

Your point about drivers coming into Nascar, and not dominating, is somewhat vaild…but sketchy data at best. the really good drivers out there are doing shit like WRC, Touring Car, and the paths that lead to Formula. The only reason guys move from that arena to try out Nascar isn’t the challenge…it’s the money, and you’re aren’t dumb enough to not see that. :oj:

Who cares? None of us are driving NASCARs last time I checked… Even if I do pretend to be Dale Earnhart during my morning commute sometimes. But let’s keep that between us.

attention desk jockeys , Go fuel up your desk and it might make your point clearer.

hahahahahaha… spit water out on this one!

Do You even know how NASCAR originated?

Its not about out circuit racing and other drivers. NASCAR sold out to be more commercialize, even its own ppl stated this. Toyota got in cause they paid out enough. Total bullshit

Bunch of guys bought cars with broken steering racks that would only turn to the left?

If Toyota gave you a Tundra and said they’d give you $500 a month to drive it, would you tell them no?

LMFAO

Game… Set… and Match, sir.

NASCAR started to provide an event to allow bootleggers to drive their souped up cars. It never was created or based around a specific make, model, or origin of a car. It was made for fast cars and fast drivers. Why shouldn’t Toyota be involved in this?

I think you answered your own question there buddy…

It’s all about sponsorship $. The days are gone WIN on sunday SELL on monday long gone

toyota found $ mopar who the fuck knows how they survive. MOPAR IS LIKE KDKA, They just do it. CBS / KDKA has loyal old people

CBS and Pittspeed has a lot in common, has OLD people viewing / posting then sell out to the first bidder

sorry ill pass, tundra is the biggest piece of shit called a truck. 500 isnt enough to drive a jap truck

originally created it was solely American made cars. key word AMERICAN. Orignally stock cars, toyota never had a stock car

toyota is more of an AMERICAN company right now than gm. Hell toyota’s are MADE in the USA not mexico

Nascar was originated For competive Makes. to take their showroom models and race them on a track in “Stock” Form, Hence “StockCar”. NASCAR- National association for Stock Car Auto Racing. Nascar was born an american sport, but so is baseball so your saying that japanese people don’t belong in baseball? —Rant @ Douchecanoe…----

THEY TOOK OUR JOBS!

if your implying most GM crap is made in mexico, your sir are wrong EH

for the record toyota is still not USA. ALL PROFITS still go to head quarters in JAPAN
Yup USA citizens are paid and we thank them. in the end the sushi eating non walmart shopper laughs
