at 200 feet he would need a to deploy in under 1 second with nearly perfect body position, even then, it’d be rough. The likelihood of premature opening in a scenario like that would be far more dangerous.

I feel like either way, a chute can only help your chances of not dying since this guy is dead.

I mean if everything went RIGHT and he would have taken grips on the chopper, the likelihood of the cnopy coming out of the container would be pretty strong, and he could crash the plane.
