WTF, but also kind of cool
Weird. Closest one to us is in Canada: Dead Drops Database
This dead drop is located just one block from the Niagara River in the part of Fort Erie that was called Bridgeburg. Turn north on Klauk Street is at the corner of of Jarvis where Culture Coffee is- look halfway down the block for a distinctive brick building with the sigh for Mcooey’s Bikes/Vacuum parts (the medium shot is from across the street, the one way arrow points to the drop). Look for the drop just on the side of the building facing Jarvis st, on the right side where the brick has been cemented over.
Be sure to visit our friends at the funky used book store around the corner on Jarvis. There are more gems in there.
We hope it holds up to the winter elements!
On the drop are photos, music, audio recordings, and videos collected as part of a similar project involving a PirateBox which traveled 15,000 miles around the US and Canada in 2011 (the readme provides a link to the StoryBox project The Storybox) but we hope people add their own ephemera to the drop.
Weird. Closest is right in Ft Erie.
EDIT… Damnit Josh.
So what happens when you drop something on this usb and then the person behind you goes and deletes it to put theirs on it? Seems kind of pointless to me…
lol.
