Decalcification/purification systems?

What’s the hot ticket these days? I’m on well water that suds up nice but leaves calcium deposits everywhere. Current system has a particulate filter and UV purifier but bulbs for that aren’t available.

Looking to get another particulate and UV cleaner and take care of the calcium. Not sure if a salt-based softener system does calcium. Ideally not something that needs continual babysitting (salt). I did see a radio wave system that is supposed to keep the calcium in solution but it seemed gimicky

we had some guys from watts come in to work to show us the one flow system. I’m not sure what levels of iron and other minerals you may have but it could be an option. no salt, works on ion charges to prevent buildup in the piping. it would require some form of maintenance (media replacement) every few years.

Bump. New fridge got delivered today and new dishwasher in 2 weeks. We don’t want to hook up any of the new stuff until the water is taken care of; it’s totally ruined the current dishwasher.

I just had someone from The Waterway (716-337-0088) come out to test my water. They did my neighbors house. She was very knowledgeable with all questions I had… built and priced a customized system on-site for free. I personally thought the price was high at first, but after shopping the components later, it was actually pretty reasonable.

She seemed to be against any filtration / softener that didn’t backwash.

This was the brand of everything … so you can search for a dealer closer to you.

I can vouch for Pentair as a company. I deal with their Hoffman side of the business and they make really top end products.
