It was most definetly was a good time. rained out in the end, but alot of good racing. If you were running 9’s in the quater, you really shouldn’t have been there.
The bump for the slowest class(drag radials) was mid 8’s. fastest time was 6.389 @ 219, and was done by annette summer.
she was driving a twin turbo 63 corvette. alot of cool people and sick cars down there. it was even more interesting seeing the trailors and equipment. we had people from canada there. a guy came from australia, and someone drove from alaska.
watching the video and seeing the cars in real life are two different things. You really appreciate the knowledge, kindness, and how serious these guys take this sport when you can actually talk to them and learn a thing or two. Not like the B.S. that you will find locally ex: people thinking that they are actually fast and know everything. These guys are at the top of the playing field for street style drag racing.
most unique car there was that hurst. upsetting to see him hit the wall too. Car was bueatiful!!!
this was the last race that they had. that car literally crashed right in front of me. i was impressed seeing a car crash and hit the wall like that 50’ in front of me. even know it sucked for the driver. he got out right away and you could tell that he was not happy. then the rain came and the event got rained out. lol
