does anyone know where i can get an F1 exhaust?

lol, thread of the year.

Does anyone know where I can find the F1 exhaust for purchase? Thanks for the info.

Just download F1 sound clips in mpg form and put it on an audio cd… insert cd into cd player and turn volume all the way up… make sure the top is off too so everyone can hear

if you trully want F1 exhaust sound, just get TI retainers and remove the rev limiter. then shift at around 12-15K rpms. and get a 3 lb flywheel

Sounds kind of like the, “Anyone know the Race car driver that was driving the M3 on the expressway that I raced? I want to talk to him about his racing experiences” thread.

Yeah if you look under the intake manifold the governor is in there. Use a pair of circlip spreaders and a right angle needle nose plier and you can remove the governor. Forgot to mention, if you do remove the governor you should probably upgrade your intake so you can handle it.

It was actually part of the exhaust on my old '88 325is, kind of like a little butterfly valve in the exhaust. So stupid, only the Germans would do this! Fortunately it was so old, it was rusted open.

Wow really? So OBDI had it on the exhaust ports? Shit. OBDII is on the intake side thats why I said to check the manifold and intake. Hrm. We need to know what year his car is so we can tell him where to look I guess.

It does come with the new guibo for it.

I know the 1992 317i had it on the intake side.

Yah, but if you read the DIY you’ll find you can do the job yourself with basic tools in your garage. I actually found that toe nail clippers work best for modifying the flapper valve flange for the correct clearances to delete the non required components. Installation was the reverse of removal.
