domestic/foreign owners

if you had to build a vehicle of the other side. this being if you prefer foreign what domestic would you build. if you prefer domestic what import woudl you build.

now if you own a mutt now then go by what its hertiage is. like a eagle talon is mitsu and etc

now you can have youre choice of drivetrain and then give why you would build it/own it and what would you use it for

for me i would build a S2k with a LSX motor in it. use it for crusing. reason why, pimp car, great handling and great motor. have the motor spin upwards of close to stock RPM range of the S2k I4

I’ve always thought about trying to find one of the fabled Chevy Citation X11’s. Supposedly Chevy built a series of citations with a 2.8L V6 in it. I’d like to build one of those up for my friend Tom. Tom’s owned 3 citations, even managed to get a speeding ticket in one, with an impressive 55 in a 40. Granted, it was down a longass hill and he had it floored. So yeah, I’d have to go with a Citation with a V6.

Edit: I did some googling and came up with this page: http://www.geocities.com/citation_x11/history.html

So, upon review, I’d go with a 1985 Citation X11 with a Muncie 4 speed.

late 60’s shelby cobra

Probaly go for a C5 vette. Still a great bang for the buck IMO. Do some light suspension work and engine bolt-ons. Make it a lapping day car since it would actaully have enough power to gun things down in the straights yet still be able to run away in the turns.

I’d have to say something with forced induction already, and defintely IRS. I guess that narrows it down a bit, to an 03-04 cobra of course

I prefer domestics but I would build an M3 (is it really an “import”?) or a Nissan Skyline. I don’t care who makes it as long as it’s rwd. The Japanese/Koreans don’t seem to know how to make a cost-effective rwd car yet.

Subaru WRX STi. PERIOD !!! Add some power… Then go rally racing… mud, dirt, sand, snow, ice. + awd + speed = fun and rollover action… But will be awhile because I still have projects to finish and my next projects are already in my head , damn the voices…

Camaro SS with the LS1 built balls to wall. All motor of course

long tube headers w/ dumps :insert tim allen grunt:

ls1 6 speed in a colorado pick up.

probably a late 70’s firebird with independant suspension

also like that idea

or a FD Rx7 with a Ls7 in it.

else a skyline/240… one of those would be just awesome

there is just so many things i want to build… i like all imports/domestics

Well I’d probably go M3 or something like that… but let’s assume you’re not talking about the euro-trash.

Do LSX swapped Jap cars count? If so I’m looking for a clean S14 240 right now to be a candidate for my DD. Drive it on the KA for a while while I get the LS1/T56 etc. then swap it. Nice wheels, coil-overs, beat and have a fun/fast reliable DD. I obviously love LS1 swapped RX7s but I don’t need another pure sports car.

If it has to stay all Jap I’d say Evo if I was gonna spend bigger $. On more of a budget I still want to find a decent GVR4.
