Dubai has a message for those who don't believe that bigger is better.

I think the person with the biggest balls in that base jump clip was the poor bastard who went out in that bucket and didn’t have a chute or jump.

Visiting Dubai someday… http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/17/8ezuhe6e.jpg

Had a whole row to myself:

Meh, there are nicer buildings, architecurally, but that is pretty bad ass. I want to visit Dubai someday.

I watched some show on Dubai today and I think it said it cost 1.5billion to construct the burj khalifa… The bills sold for 1.4 billion right?

makes the skyscraper seem cheap to build and an NFL time expensive!

I agree, 1.5B doesn’t seem like it would cover the cost. I was watching a Nat Geo episode on line about this building and the person they were talking to said they heard 1.5B was the cost but it was never verified/actually disclosed. On one hand I don’t see why they would lie about it if they are trying to show the world that Dubai is a world financial center, yet I also don’t think 1.5 would get the job done.

Anyone else find it a little suspicious that the tire marks were such a perfect circle? Really seems like the one front tire was anchored.

After watching back I think you’re right. Good call. However, F1 doughnuts still

It was so cheap because they import the workers from India and Southeast Asia, take away their passports and force them to work crazy hours and conditions.

For comparison sake the cowboys stadium almost cost as much…of course the 'boys are estimated to be worth over $3 billion

There is a Discovery Channel show out there that covers in a reality TV way the building of the Burj Khalifa. There is a part where they’re going to start the next floor and realize that everything is about 12" off… quite a large margin of error!
