edlebrock carb tuning

i have a 600cfm edlebrock brand new on a 305 and the settings are air and fuel both set at 2 turns out from closed. are those the right settings or are they different. i got it out of the box and put it on and havent set anything.

that is just a base setting. do you have a vacuum gauge? if so hook it up and adjust them till you get the highest vacuum… if no gauge, then adjust them for the highest idle.
