el misteriosos civic goes 6.8 1/8 and 10.4 1/4.

Oh man, I didn’t know this was Bebe’s new car, I would have came over and said hi. Great runs man!!

I tuned it with a chipped stock OBD1 ECU which is installed with a plug and play OBD2 to OBD1 conversion harness. Rather than using a lesser solution that retains OBD2 functionality all the time, this is what most guys with that era Civic do. It was trailered this time, but he will drive it on the street. He just put the car together so it’s not on the road yet.

I think driving it to the track would be a mistake because it has enough power to blow the tranny among other things. Spinning a stock sleeved GSR this high and laying on the limiter for half the track because it’s spinning the slicks like crazy is asking for trouble, but he’s prepared for the consequences. This isn’t his first rodeo or ours…hence the awesome slip from the first ever pass in the car. He brings extra axles which are also going to break, but the tranny isn’t something you want to swap in a parking lot when you’re just at a test and tune and that will break soon.

That’s all correct except it’s a stock Type R tranny so it has the factory LSD…the one that almost killed you when it exploded.

willbeen/smith: The Del Sol’s flywheel exploded and destroyed the engine, tranny, intercooler, hood, etc. He’s lucky it didn’t make it’s way into the cabin. He’ll have a scattershield on this car shortly. The bolts were all still in place when he checked it out so it didn’t come loose…just exploded.

:frowning: del sol :frowning:

Fuck i have some work to do great times man

yea that car was flying last night. great job man.

Very nice man :tup:

The car was definatly moving out last night, great driving!!!

:tup::tup:

wow

It was one wheel peeling on the burnout and it sounded like he still had a little rpm left in 4th at the top end I was guessing gsr open diff. My tranny was a 92-95 B16 Sir with an oem helical that blew. I remember looking at that pos and an oem ITR and the ITR was significantly sturdier. Then again the EK is making considerably more power than I was back then. I would replace the oem diff if money allows especially if the car is going to be dragged on a tall slick on a regular basis.

That flywheel story is crazy. You’re right its a good thing it didnt come into the cabin and sliced someones nuts off.

Again nice et and trap. elmisterioso are you bringing this to the honda-tech meet tomorrow?

oh bc the power seemed similar to your last :snky: setup that john tuned

congrats on the times that is hauling out!!!
