Need to replace the electric range in my rental unit. Looking to stay under $1,000. Needs to be stainless steel (match other appliances). Any recommendation on brands?
I think there was someone on here (sponsor maybe) who sold appliances. Anyone?

lafengas sells appliances but I think theyre usually higher end units
Link to site??
IMO Bestbuy usually has decent prices, especially scratch and dent…worth a look. Also Rosa’s is going out of business.
PM me the details and i’ll help you out. You already said electric and stainles…What size? (typical is 30") Slide-in or Free standing? I can definently get you something for under $1K.
I carry Samsung, Electrolux, Bosch and others in the price range you’re looking for.

saw this , just thought i would pass it on
Get a induction cooktop. My father has been an avid cook his whole life (he’s 70) got one in the last year because his latest place didn’t have gas. He says he will never go back to a gas cook top again. Using it a bit while I was there, I agree. Amazing for cooking, uniform heat, fast… just awesome. Granted it doesn’t have the look of some 48" viking but I’d rather it be practcial anyway.
Have you ever used a viking/wolf walter? The functionality and ability on them is unreal. You can literally melt chocolate in a pot (relatively high heat) without stirring and somehow it will never burn (if you’ve ever tried to melt chocolate on a stovetep, you know what I mean). I’ve seen this demo’d by an owner who swears by wolf. Food cooks 30% faster at the same temps in the oven. My parents have family friends who own them and it’s crazy. I don’t think you can really compare a $1k electric cooktop to one AT ALL. Clearly that’s a bit OT from this thread though.
Electric isn’t bad at that price point though, for sure.
Also, scratch and dent sales are awesome. I know that Lowes and HD always have some sitting around. I would check there first, especially for a rental.
You goon. That would be ass expensive for a rental and I’m sure his tenants would be really happy about not being able to use stainless cookware.
We’re getting slightly off topic here…but my induction cooktops leave the shelves quickly. THEY ARE AWESOME. I will definentely do a cooktop/wall oven combo when i build. Plus i love their clean look.
electric double oven with a gas cooktop, viking or wolf, would be MY choice
You goon, I missed he said rental.

Stop watching cribs.
Induction >>> Gas

Have you seen this guy? Would be awesome.
I prefer gas over induction. Especially high end or commercial as it has the power I prefer. induction is typically too flaky as it turns off whenever I touch the pan to stir or flip.
However ^^^^ Is awsome!
I hadn’t seen that one before, pretty cool though. It reminds me of some modular induction cooktop surfaces i had that were made by Kuppersbusch: You could build your own surface:
I think i was selling them for only about $200 each.
@ walter: lol, ok…I know 2 people that have viking and wolf appliances, my parents have a sub-zero refrigerator…they don’t compare to anything in the $1k price range
Who cares about your $1k price range? You aren’t buying viking or wolf appliances for Wolf.
OMG, my dentist’s Ferrari is better than your MS3!!! OMGIZNLJSD!

to each their own. I’m no super chef, but I’ve met lots of converts that are. Yes, Gas > camp fires > dog shit > regular electric, but induction is entirely different.
Found a great deal and went with a frigidaire, double oven. I think it was convection as well. Buying dent/scratched wasn’t an option. This was for a higher end rental property in Baltimore so I did it all online and splurged a little.
