I’ve got a pair of smith slider sunglasses that are pretty nice and not too expensive. I snapped the frames of em last summer and they sent me a new pair no problem.
for lyfe
Bought these to, they are sweet. Real heavy and strong. But I also have a pair of Oakley twenties for golf and recreational activities.
some Panama Jack things from wal*mart. If I ever go to a meet this year, you’ll see 'em.
i am with mpd47. oakleys with the simple frames have always been my fav. i cant afford to get them though.
best pair i have ever owned for fit and style was the old t-wires. they were awesome and i would still have them to this day is someoen didnt steal them from my dorm room during a party. i dont like anything fancy or something that draws a ton of attention. ie i would never be able to wear what itagaki has…i would feel like everyone was looking at me.
Hrmmm for some reason I could never get into oakleys…
I finally got some RX glasses this week, Lindberg rimless… full titanium, ordered from denmark, should see them in 2 weeks or so. They are crazy light… like 1.9 grams or something. I just hope I like them as much when I get them as I liked them in the store.
I highly recommend Dawn at Visualeyes on Main and Eggert to anyone looking for eyewear. They are the only place I have been that actually took care of me and had a great selection of eyewear.
I am still looking for sunglasses, although i have my eye on a pair over there.
i have those same glasses. very cool. they are fully warrantied too if you scratch them somehow or brake a arm. i got mine from hoggenkamps though
I bought mine at the Island atthe McKinley Mall. I was looking at some Oakley’s because I’m such an Oakley whore…
But I just couldn’t justify spending that type of money on Sunglasses at the time.
ebay has some good deals on oakleys. have to be careful of fakes though.
As far as I was told, there are no warranties on these except for man. defects…
Kinda sucks considering how expensive they were.
Rayban’s all the way around, regular glasses and sunglasses…
i scratched mine one time after getting into a fight and i took them over to Hkamps and they took care of them no prob. then another time my dad threw them out the window and broke the fingers that go into the lens, so the arm had to be replaced…that took a couple weeks, but they came back and no charge. maybe it was just because it was hogenkamps
Glasses are expensive no matter what you get, my Armani frames were like 400 without lenses nothing special about them other than they were Armani. Was it worth it? Fuck no! But you have friends that work at lense crafters you get shit cheap.
I hear ya… these were over $600, luckily I have a Medical Card that pays for all that shit.
They cover that expensive of frames? I have VSP which covers up to $115 of the frame (and 20% of the difference), and I was told that was very good, haha
And it’s going to take you forever to get used to them, but once you do you’ll never be without them. I refuse to get contacts. I just like glasses. I can see things…
Yup they usually pay for a huge chunk i think it was like 40% on my other glasses, which is very cool, i cant imagine paying full price for these things.
I have a card with a lot of money on it that can be used for pretty much anything like that.
I have Oakley Eye Jackets and Rudy Projects. I have smoke black, laser black, racing brown, pink, yellow, and clear lenses for the Rudy Projects. If you’re just going to get one set of lenses, racing brown works awesome in the widest range of conditions.
Sweet, The lenses I was looking at were Polarized Brown…
I like some of the rudy projects as well, I might have to pick up a pair for riding this summer.
Personaly i cant see spending houndeds of $ on sun glasses. this past summer alone i went threw over 10 pairs, they get lost, stolen, broken, scratched to shit, blah blah.
