fake wheels crack

All of the above photos were front curb hits. Any wheel will do that. I’ve seen BBS race wheels turn into 1000 pieces, Kinesis wheels shear off at the hub, Fikse’s splinter into a thousand pieces. Any wheel will fail. Pt sliced a BBS CH in half on the street one time from hitting a cinder block. Shit happens.

I’ll jump on the anti-hate wagon. I’ve done their UHP’s on a BUNCH of cars, and they work really damn well.

OEM stock wheels > Knock offs

fuck.

Thankfully some people with common sense showed up.

Not always true.

^ This.

I’m fully convinced that you can bend / crack / break any wheel regardless of how much it costs or the construction method if given the right situation.

I bent one of my forgeline rs-comp’s which happen to be welded 2 piece wheels, some of the strongest stuff out there…

anyone know if this guys rims are fake? hes from sauga.

prices say fake.

“not fake” but looks wild… fyi 335mm slick on this 18x13" wheel supposedly.

that is a CCW Classic

All wheels crack no matter if you have 1300 dollar wheels or 600 dollar ones. Ive seen 4 thousand dollar ones look the same just do a simple internet search.

 Unless you paint them magenta like all the cool kids are now doing.

ive had both fake and real wheels, there is a definite difference in finish, but ive yet to crack a wheel and ive owned rota’s, rega’s, volks etc

the only advantage to a “real” wheel is that they hold their value

its like comparing a H to a H… the better car holds its value better but doesnt mean the other car wont do its job

H?

ive seen porsches come into the shop because their 4 thousand dollar HRE wheels exploded at the track

real, fake, it dont matter

I definitely wasn’t trying to hate…just never heard of them. They would have to be “legit” to get their site/name embedded on a tire. Tire molds are not cheap.

Linea Corsa are having a trend of breaking, just from street driving. Bending a wheel is a complete difference than having a catastrophic failure… Also CH’s are commonly cracking, they are only spun cast. Not as strong as an 8000 ton forged wheels.

re: linea corsa

i suspect a bunch of nouveau off-shore wheel companies are buying or using brand names that used to be awesome… STERN is one that comes to mind. used to be JDM badass… now $800 for a set of 19’s on Ebay.
