This set is build around extremely light and strong Wilwood Forged Aluminum
Dyna Lite Calipers. Each caliper has 4 pistons that are made from stainless steel
which is a good material due to its low thermal transmittance and corrosion resistance.
- “Wilwood’s new Forged Dynalite calipers are ideal for and widely used in
many competition applications including late models, modifieds, sprints, off road and
road racing. Computer generated design and stress analysis technology, is the latest
innovation from Wilwood providing substantial improvements in strength and
performance over all comparable caliper models.Forged Dynalites are the strongest
calipers in the class.”
11" slotted/drilled rotors are lighter than stock 300zx rotors and much cheaper to
replace than bigger 2piece rotors and widely available.
“This kit work awesome on the street and the track as it is much bigger than the wimpy
stock brakes. This bigger kit will pay for itself in longer pad life as well as offer better,
more consistent performance making the car easier and safer to drive.
In short for a low cost and very effective brake upgrade, this 11” kit works fine. You
should really consider it before dumping same or more money on completing less
efficient, used 300zx set."
^ I called and pm’d you - not sure if that’s correct phone #.
Anyway:
the brakes are still for sale, the rims are pending sale and the tails are still available but
your offer is the lowest right now so I’ll eventually let you know
“Thanks to greatly increased lifespan of HAWK Performance Pads that are included
the kit will pay for the calipers in savings.
- Just about every racing brake pad compound is made to fit the Dyna Lite
caliper. Pads for the Dyna Lite are ½ the cost of high performance pads made to fit
the stock Nissan calipers as well. This is perhaps the biggest selling point as the
savings on brake pads will pay for the brake upgrade in a few races.”
^you’ll have to redrill rotors to 5bolts patern(peanut), other than that I don’t see any reason why not
and yes the price is very right:
instead of rebuilding your 17 years old calipers again,
powdercoating them,
buying new Hawk pads,
sloted and drilled rotors,
stainless braided lines
and all brand new hardware
you might as well sell your old, and worn out stuff for a couple of hundreds
and save yourself another couple hundreds, and many headaches by buying this set.
lmk
I’m really only interested in the calipers. I did a Z1 brake upgrade kit this spring and already have the stainless lines and Baer two piece rotors. I would have to buy your whole kit for the calipers and have to sell off the rest. Don’t know if I want to do that.
