Minus the carbon fiber hood (i’m sorry, but I still don’t get the whole CF thing), that’s a beautiful car. I miss my Eclipse. I’ll probably pick up a 99 GSX for a winter beater at some point.

ya its been done but its rough on the car, the guy has the original hood too…reduces weight like 40 pounds i think so it helps at the track a lil. a 99 for a beater would be an expensive beater though
the stock hood don’t weigh 40 lbs lol…and 379hp on pump wiht that turbo is just BLAH
stock hood is 42 lbs carbon fiber is 15lbs =27lbs
not that big of a deal but every little bit helps
sorry i was sayin 40lbs was the differnce whenever its the actual weight
depends on the brand there’s one that weighs 9lbs
