Feeler: 2002 Subaru WRX RWD

Let me start off by saying i don’t want to sell this, but i’ve recently decided to go back to school, and the (small) logical side of me says sell it.

The car is currently RWD. It runs, drives, and spins the rear tires nicely.

It is a 2002 WRX with roughly 148k.

Transmission has been replaced with one that i seem to think has been rebuilt, as the synchros are better than my original transmission. I sold the original tranny cause i was offered stupid money for it, and at the time was thinking of a 6 speed swap.

This car was my dd for the past 2.5 years, i’ve maintained it to a very high standard. It used to be perfect body-wise, but over the winter has acquired some scratches and dings, fenders are a bit rough paint wise. I will (professionally) buff the car for the new owner.

The car has a ridiculous amount of money sunken into it, here’s the mods i can remember (and that matter)

Engine.Driveline:
Cobb Short Ram Intake
PDE Downpipe with removable cat, and test pipe section
Zero Sports World Leaguer Catback
TGV Deletes (basically a useless restriction in the intake manifold for cold start emissions)
Kartboy Short Shifter
Kartboy Shifter Bushings

Suspension/Brakes:
Megan Track Coilovers
Cusco Adjustable Lateral Links
Cusco Adjustable Trailing Arms (not installed)
Cusco Front.Rear Power Braces
Whiteline 22mm Front Sway Bar (adj. to 24mm)
Whiteline 24mm Rear Sway Bar (Adj. to 27mm)
Whiteline Adj. Front Endlinks
Kartboy Rear Endlinks
Tein Front.Rear Strut Bars
Kartboy Diff Mount Bushings
TIC Outrigger bushings
Brembo Blank Rotors
Hawk HP Plus Pads
Goodridge Stainless Lines

Exterior:
Prodrive front lip
STI Scoop
Painted Side Skirts

Interior
OEM Boost Gauge
Random JDM Steering Wheel
HKB Hub

Other stuff i did:
Fusebox Relocate to fender
AC Delete
Aluminum Rear Bumper Beam
RWD Conversion (reversible)
ABS is disabled on the car

The car will need some TLC visually.

Forgot to add the pic.

Interested in a trade for a motorcycle?

Are you selling the car e-tested and safetied?

Tempting, but probably not a wise choice for me haha.

Nice car, but a little too baller for me.

Car will be e-tested shortly, safety could be arranged.

Car looks fun man! Any action shots? What did you do to convert to RWD?

Was is just welding the centre diff, removing the front axles? Or was it a little more extensive than that?

I have yet to really beat on the car, it’s been out for less than a week and i’m still working some kinks out. No action shots yet.

The center diff was welded, and axles removed. The outer axle stubs were removed from the axles (violently, so new axles will be required to put it back to AWD), and they were put back in place to hold the wheel bearings together.

Pretty simple really.

Sweet. I shoulda did that to mine. May have kept it at that point.

I would be interested in making an offer…but it sounds like it needs too much work, and also sounds like the “conversion” to rwd is a hackjob

So why did you bother posting then?

Location?

interested in an 01 nissan crew cab truck?

pmed ! wating for your awnser !!

Don’t make an offer then? The “hackjob” conversion, is the only way to convert it to rwd. Weld the center, or waste your money on a center diff spool (which is only useful if you’re too pussy to permanently alter your stock center diff). The car actually needs very little work. Thanks for your useless post.

Kitchener

Not really.

Replied on TSC.

I must say this is price very low… for what these are going for in the market is still about 10-12 (not modded… modded people are asking the world)

all the best with school and GLWS
