yeah, for getting “crazy deals” that’s not that great… i got a 160GB hard drive for $90 last year… or maybe it’s just me :dunno:
also since it doesn’t seem that you need to build a monster cutting edge machine you also might want to check out a recertified or refurbished computer from tiger direct.com. I know a few people that have gotten machines from them and they work good.
mostly they are emachines or hp computer. the other day they had a refurbished hp amd 2800+, windows xp, 80gb hd, 512 ramm, dvd rom, and cdrw, for like 399.99.
If you don’t need the baddest gaming machine on the block and aren’t reusing parts from your old comp you can’t touch these refurbished prices building your own machine if you buy an operating system. however if you are like alot of people and obtain windows through questionable means then you might be cheaper building.

Then go online, find a Radeon 9600 XT or a 9800 Pro and buy one of those… Your CPU and Ram dont mean shit if you ahve a garbage vid card. TRUST ME. my 9600 Radeon gets a fucking work out with farcry, but Have it over clocked and air cooled… To fucking poor to water cool… or just lazy.
