They are just f… UGLY.
considering you can step into some dealers and still purchase a brand new Esprit today left over… I’m not sure what’s going to transpire.
I’d rock them.
I like them, until pricing is released. Much rather have a lambo/ferrari
mini lambo say what
The Esprit looks like a Lambo, the Eterne and Elite look like a cross between a Mazda and an Aston Martin, and the other two look like Audi R8s.
Dislike.
i think they all suck. just myO
Lotus listened when you bitched they were too heavy, lol.
Lotus supermini, coming 2013. :picard:
This will spur numerous bar conversations at golddigger bars throughout Europe along these lines:
Guy: Yeah, I’m kind of a big deal, I drive a brand new Lotus.
Girl: let’s go back to my place
Parking lot:
Guy: Here it is!

The new overlords at Lotus have reportedly scrapped the company’s five-year plan. DRB-Hicom ditched the turnaround strategy, penned by ousted CEO Danny Bahar, because it believes the market viewed the plan as overly ambitious.
The new product plan will slim the number of new model lines from five to three, and Lotus will likely slash the number planned consultants in favor of relying more heavily on in-house talent. According to The Star, the move should help expedite product development and save cash at the same time.
Even so, nothing is written in stone as of yet. DRB-Hicom says the new plan will take up to a year to finalize. The company has dumped around $242 million into Lotus so far this year, and the struggling automaker may require another $121 million by 2013. Lotus all but stopped production earlier this year during a loan freeze, but the lights came back on in April. The company now produces around 44 vehicles per week.
That didn’t take long, lmao
Everyone saw this coming for a while, no one is too surprised to be honest. There was a lot of excitement when this was announced, but to create 5 new cars in that time frame, that’s hard even for big automakers, let alone a small one. I wasn’t sure which ones would make it to prod., but figured the Esprit would be the top priority, and it still is. Should be released in about a year. We’ll see how/when they proceed with the others. I liked enough of the line-up to hope that they’ll all event. get produced…we’ll see…ether way, nothing new with Lotus…they’re always clinging to life…
2013 Lotus Esprit
Dany Behar was.
With the shit he was pulling, he had to know it would catchup…I didn’t like him from the start. Never felt he was a good fit, not on any level. The only thing worse than a British automaker is when you let an italian run it…
Maybe now they can make the Evora GTE car not such a slow POS, and stop rebadging race cars they don’t own/design as LOTUS RACING lol
