I have a set of 180sx front brakes with Stainless Steel braided lines, Rotors, Hawk HP+ Pads (About 90% life left).
These brakes worked amazing for me last year. For anyone wondering, these brakes have a much bigger rotor than the stock 240sx brakes. I believe that the piston in the caliper is bigger as well.
The pads alone cost me $140 and they still have 90% left, the initial “bite” feels really good but I’d definitely getting a set of HP+ for the rears as well. There will be too much front bias with HP+ in the front.
These brakes bolt on directly but if you still have the stock brake dust shield on, you will probably need to bend it a little.

Hey guys, don’t buy these shitty ass brakes, they have no stopping power. Opt for some Ford Taurus brakes, otherwise you will get brake fade at every stoplight, unless you drive like a grandma. Its your own safety, don’t cheap out!
lol all jokes aside is the brake bias decent using stock rear brakes with upgraded pads, and these 180 brakes at the front?
Hey Henry! I’m so sorry dude, I just took them off yesterday!
Ahmad, hahah, well I had Hawk HPS in the rear and the 180s up in the front and I had a lot more front brake bias. (That was when I switched to HP+ in the front) However, I think that my rear calipers weren’t working too well either. I think that if you were to run HP+ pads on the rear along with these brakes in the front, they would feel really good. I don’t think I faded my brakes at the track at all and I felt confident when I had these pads in.
Keep in mind that I was also using Ford Dot 3 Brake fluid which has a much higher boiling point than any regular dot 3 or dot 4 brake fluid that you will find at CT. You can get the ford Dot 3 brake fluid at CT. I think the boiling point is 480 or something like that. It’s pretty high and it’s cheap too.
