Make/Model: 1990 240sx Hatch
Asking Price: $ 1000(OBO)
Condition: Used
Mileage: approx 270000 KM
Location: Thornhill, ON
Contact Info: Send PM for contact details and to schedule a meet
Description:
needs:
exhaust from cat-back and new gaskets for the cat (including piping for a catback exhaust…all you need to buy is a flange, resonator, muffler and you have a 3" cat back)
has leaky injector seal so sometimes you smell fumes (I’m including 4 mint condition injectors with new orings and seals with the sale)
needs new rear brake rotors (including new ones in sale)
needs speed sensor and speedo in the cluster
reverse sensor (reverse lights don’t come on)
transmission has noisy bearing (been like that since I’ve owned it and put on about 70000kms…does not affect driveability whatsoever)
could use some bodywork (no holes just surface rust)
could use tension rods/bushings (i think thats what they are called not 100% sure though)
has timing chain rattle on startup for about 3 secs (normal on these motors with that mileage)
needs right side ebrake cable (still functions with just the left and holds the car perfectly when parked…most likely would pass safety)
The good:
new OEM clutch about one month ago
new front lower control arms w/new bushings and balljoints about two months ago
good michelin tires
new sway bar end links about two months ago (same time as control arms)
pretty good condition leather seats
non cracked dash
interior in overall good shape
newer clutch slave cylinder
new battery
the following was done less than 100K ago:
new power steering pump
new steering rack and pinion with new tie rods and ends (include brand new inner/outer rod ends with sale but doesn’t need them)
new oil pan
I can’t remember everything off the top of my head…there is definately more to say about it just can’t think of everything right now. I’ll let you know if I remember anything else major…let me know if you have anymore questions.
