edit: trade for 240 also? Will part out with the mods like the seats, HID, shift knob, intake, etc. Pm if you want something. The more mods i sell, the more the price of the car drops…
Ok some might rememeber this car from a couple months ago or so. My brother bought the car, fixed it up and found out he cant fork out the 340$ a month while he is in school for insurance, so i transfered the ownership over to me and im driving it around with a 10 day till my car is fixed next week. Passed safety with no problems. Emissions failed once, but then he got all that new stuff done, and hasnt done the etest again yet. It still had the stock original cat from 1992 on it! It was pretty much hollow :S
So since he cant drive it, and i dont want it, he wants to sell it.
Here are some specs:
- 1992 toyota paseo
- 2dr.
- white w/black hood
- new engine was swapped in March i believe, It had 140 000km on the new engine at the time. Not sure what its at now, but the dash says 276 XXX km right now.
- FWD
- 5spd
- 1.5L great on gas, 30$ fills the tank with 94 @ 96cents a liter! 600km per tank highway and about 400km in the city
- Manual locks, windows
- ps. steering
- sunroof
Mods that came with the car:
- Racing seats (pair)
- 2 way pager alarm
- HID kit (might not come with the car, i might keep it for my 240)
- short shift
- Tinted windows
- shift knob
- 2.5"aluminum intake tube
- generic cone filter
- breather filter on intake
- batttery/spark enhancer thing
Mods/things fixed since he bought it:
- Custom 2" cat back
- Magnaflow highflow cat
- New used alternator
- Bosch 02 sensor
- Manifold gasket
- Front and rear brake pads/shoes (not isntalled tho, just havent gotten around to doing it)
- PCV
- NGK V power Spark plugs
- Oil change wtih Castrol oil (less than 500km ago)
- New winter tires (4)
Body condition:
- Has minor surface rust on driver door
- It was bondoed at some point by last owner on the driver side rear wheel well, no rust coming up though.
- Gas door has some rust, very, very , very minor
- rear bumper has some scartches for some reason
- Driver front side, under the fender has a loonie size hole, looks like someone tried at jack the car up there and made a hole, but its a clean hole, no rust for some reason?
- Overall, is pretty clean for a 1992
- Underbody is mint, no holes (cept for what was mentioned), clean and pretty much rust free. It has been undercoated over the years
- Paint still shines when its clean!
Things wrong:
- gas door gets stuck sometimes, keys or a screw drive can open it.
- No A/C
- Thats all, noting else wrong with the car
Operating condition:
- Runs perfect, no problems.
- Burns a little tiny amount of oil, but its honestly so minor that i dont even think its an issue. We only added a half of a quarter of oil from a 1L bottle and that was when he first got the car.
- New clutch was installed when new engine was dropped in
- Reliable car, quiet exhaust, great on gas and runs perfect.
- This car is easy to drive, it responds fast and its easy to park, and is overall just feels like a go kart or something.
Price:
1500$ OBO - not sure if the safety is still valid, but if it is, it will be cert for you, if not, do another one, pass 100% for sure.

not etested, but it should pass with the new exhaust, cat, o2, pcv and spark plugs and oil change.
