I have decided to move onto something else. So up for sale is my 1996 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro!

Black w/ black leatherette interior (with no sigficant wear)
5-speed w/ short shift kit
2.8 V6 12v.
165,600 miles (mostly highway miles)

Price: $3,000 OBO with the BBS wheels w/ new tires and OEM wheels for winter. which is well below KBB.

Recent Repairs include: Over $5,000 in parts/labor in the past 12 months. I have all the receipts from Athol Motors to prove it.

  • Rebuilt transmission. [clutch kit, pilot bearing, slave and master cylinders]

  • Radiator, fan, fan clutch and upper hose

  • Timing Belt, water pump, thermostate, and belt tensioner

  • Front control arms

  • Rear wheel bearings

  • S4 OEM Springs (front and back)

  • Rebuilt windshield wiper motor and assembly

  • Outter tie rods

  • Rear calipers, rotors, and pads. Front rotors and pads
    What it needs:

  • ABS is pulsating. There is no brake light on in the dash. I believe the sensors just need to be replaced

  • Minor Body damage from accident. In the begining of March, I was merging onto the I190 South, and was hit in the rear driver-side panel above the wheel. Long story short, the guys insurance company denied my claim, and since I didn’t/ don’t have collision on the car, I decided against getting it fixed. I don’t notice the damage anymore, but will supply pictures.

  • CEL is on again. Keith diagnosed it as the EGR sensor. He replaced the sensor, it past inspection (completed 2 weeks ago), but its on again. They believe that it is in the connection.
As you can see, I have put a TON of money into the car inorder to drive it to work. All of the major things that could break on the car, I have had repaired by the guys at Athol Motors. If you have any questions, feel free to give Keith or Jeff a call and they will be more than willing to help you out.

This is a great opprotunity for someone to pick up a Quattro as either their daily driver… or and I hate to say it in the middle of July… but as a winter ride!

**Please Note: The BBS wheels picutured above are available at no extra cost with brand new (less than 1000 miles) General Exclaim UHP tires. The car will also come with the stock, five spoke wheels and Hakk’s mounted on them. The snow tires have been used for several winters and will more than likely need to be replaced soon.

I am located in Orchard Park for those who would like to take a look. I will get more photos of the car up soon (thought I had more at work)

Thanks for looking,
Matt

was this 2point4z’s car?

Doesn’t seem like a terrible price if it’s running solid.

no fogs?

no it wasnt he has owned this car for like 4 years and bought it off his now wife when his 90 20v took a shit

Ah. Well then it’s DEFINITELY a good price lol.

I just noticed that it’s not lowered, I should have known it wasn’t the same car. GLWTS.

3 gs for a wintar beast.

Earlier years of the B5 only came with fogs as an option.

My 96 had the fogs as part of the headlight :gotme:

seems like a good deal but when the abs has a problem on these cars it’s expensive to fix. he’s right it obviously could be just a sensor but if its not look out…

this one sure doesnt.

and to the above poster, 2turboz’s a4 was sold to me, and then that kid who keeps attempting to sell that other black 96 bought it from.

this is definitely a steal for 3000

bba-reman rebuilds abs modules for like $139. good company to deal with

good to know…

GLWS man

bump

if i had the monies i wouldn’t mind getting this

moar pics for the lazy people…did this guy actually sit in this car? Seats look brandnew.
