FS: 1999 Yamaha Vmax 1200 ($4200 )

Doubt this will sell, but the price of Vmax’s up north are insane. So I figured, why not list it here. Its been a fun bike and it moves for a cruiser, with current mod’s and a decent launch I bet it’ll go mid 10’s all day.

For sale: This is the carbon fiber edition 1999 Yamaha Vmax 1200. The bike has 24xxx miles on it and is in excellent condition.

*** Recently picked up a Ducati and don’t need two bikes (I do ride this weekly though so the mileage will continue to creep up***

This bike has been garage kept its entire life and it shows.

As for modifications and maintenance, the bike has

  • Steel Braided Brake lines
  • Steel Braided Clutch line
  • New pads
  • Brand new tires, less than 800 miles on them (this will obviously go up as I still ride the bike often)
  • Oil/Filter Change done at same time as tires
  • Brand new NGK plugs done too (Less than 800 miles ago)
  • Stage 7 Dynojet kit ( 4 individual K+N Filters, vented crank case, with V-Boost still active)
  • T-Boost 3 position Switch (3k open, 6k Open (stock), and Always open)
  • SuperTrapp slip on pipes
  • Sissy Bar and front pouch
  • Progressive rear suspension (Per previous owners statement)
  • One of the side covers was seeping oil, so I just replaced it. It was a 3 dollar gasket from Yamaha, hasn’t leaked a single drop since it was done.

If it doesnt sell, I’ll just tuck it into the corner and ride it on the weekends. (when the italian is without a doubt being repaired. lol)

Best,
WB

What Duc did you pick up?!?!?

I’ve ridden this and it’s totally awesome. Way faster than I thought it was going to be as well, def. put a smile on my face when I got into it.

Thanks for the kind words. I’m going to take it to Starbucks in a minute. Maybe I’ll park it out front with a for sale sign on it soon.

Picked up an s4r and will probably be getting a road king or street glide soon. (and a boat, and maybe a different vehicle) and some ocean front property and a chalet in Aspen.

Bump. 26800 miles now

I rode it tonight actually it’s very underpowered and they write 1200 dollar tickets when people here do wheelies. That being said I just really want an economical commuter that’s fun to jump over things with.
