you can swap the gauge face lay overs, and the rings are just part of the housing… really easy to do. no need to swap clusters unless something has happened to yours.

cluster “marries” the ECU, so unless your ECU has the immobilizer defeated it will not function. the only other way to make it work is to match the coding, similar to when you have the cluster replaced at the dealer.

my old car was a Eurodyne ECU, which deleted the immobilizer, allowing my ECU to be used in any aww/awp 1.8t jetta or gti.
