Oh ok, I thought you meant they were dropping right away.lol
5 years is really long for a betta. I think they’re supposed to have a lifespan of like two years at most.lol

I know! I was amazed!
His name was Bert, I loved him.
Best $2 ever spent. Serious.
I also had a stupid carnival goldfish when I was little.
Bought him a cheap tank at Walmart thinking he would be dead in a day.
He lived for like five years too the friggen bastard.
Okay, enough about my fish.
I’m getting depressed. :sad :lol
very nice bowfront setup. I have 3 tanks total in my house right now, they all pretty much are south american cichlid tanks. I have my main tank in the living room, along with my breeding tank in the spare bedroom, and the juvenile / baby tank in the kitchen.
i am a huge fan of the canister filters, soooo much quieter and you can really fine tune the type of filtration you want.
another thing somebody should take into consideration is setting the tank up empty and NOT adding fish until the tank cycles (basically the bacterial bloom) doing so can be a costly mistake. I should know, it cost me about $180 when all the fish croaked…
Definitely, every tank needs to be cycled properly to eliminate unneeded stress for the fish.
if somebody is looking for fish to fill this tank I have 5 electric blue jack dempseys. beautiful south american cichlids !

someone make me an offer…I need car parts.lol
new price. $150 takes everything-tank,chemicals,filters,light etc etc…
Shit that’s a good price for everything you have listed. I wish I had the extra money I would be all over this. All this recent talk of fishies and seeing some crazy highlighter colored fish at the pet store have really got me itching for some aquatic friends.

$125 for everything
$100 takes everything. Great opportunity to get started for way cheaper than the stores sell.

The Hubby and I have a mated pair of Tiger Oscar’s. We have a 75Gal set up.
How big is the canister filter? is it big enough to handle that many gallons?
I can check for you tomorrow to be sure, but I believe its a Magnum 350 Deluxe. It moves 350gph and is good for tanks up to 100 gallons.
this is just out of shear curiosity but could a 25 year old luxury car driver… wait, i mean some random dude possibly house a small asian child in this tank as he trains it to be a good and productive slave. I have read…I mean he read that when binding the feet you are supposed to keep them in an inclosed area
that would be great if you could check. I have a 250 which is only good for about 50 gallons and my oscars are pigs with fins
