For sale is my 2001 Honda 400EX (yellow plastics).
Has many new parts and recently done maintenance.
I’m selling it because I’ve simply outgrown it and want something a bit bigger. I will miss this machine, as it is so nimble and easy to ride. The handling is amazing in the woods, and the midrange of the engine is perfect for trail riding. I can easily pull away from my friends’s DS650 in the woods course we have.
The good:
-fresh oil change with Honda GN4 oil and OEM filter
-new OEM clutch cable
-new front wheel bearings (installing this next week)
-new Lonestar Racing Billet axle carrier with new rear wheel bearings (much stronger than factory part)
-new front brake pads (installing this next week)
-new rear brake pads (installing this next week)
-new molder rubber handgrips (very comfortable)
-newer White Brothers E Series Slip on pipe. (fantastic sound. Will include the spark arrestor too.)
-K&N airfilter with prefilter sock
-new airbox lid
-new 14 tooth Renthal front sprocket
-Big Gun Rev Box CDI (also have stock one)
-newer OEM chain
-will include brand new jets for the carb in case you want to tune it.
Items that need attention:
-front tires (the current ones are pretty worn)
-the engine burns a small amount of oil. It in no way affects performance (still pulls extremely hard). I have just always kept the oil topped up, and checked it before and after every ride. It has never bothered me. However, as a precaution, I will be including a brand new set of OEM piston rings, as well as a brand new set of full engine gaskets, including valve stem seals and headgasket. I originally planned to rebuild the engine over the winter just to be on the safe side, but I just don’t have the time anymore.
Asking 2200.
I am interested in trades for a Raptor 660 (with cashola on my end)

much more agile and fun in the woods/trails than my friend’s DS650:
