FS: Kumho Victoracer Autocross R-compounds

Hey guys,

As you’ve noticed, I’ve had a few things for sale here lately. I’m trying to uncomplicate my life before I move into the city in a month or two, so here we go with another one!

I have a set of 4 Kumho Victoracer Autocross tires for sale. They are USED. I bought them from the US, and the guy told me they are about half worn. I have no way of guaging the accuracy of that statement. I found it difficult to photograph these properly, but they DO have tread left on them, they are not totally bald. I’d imagine they could also be used as drag radials.

They are 245/45ZR-17 in size. Because soft tire compounds are delicate, these tires have slept in my basement all winter so they wouldn’t be damaged by the cold. I don’t think I’m going to get a chance to use them this year, so I’m trying to get rid of them.

Remember, these tires cost a bundle when new. TireTrends.com has them listed for $265 per tire, which doesn’t include tax or shipping.

I’m asking $100 OBO for all 4, and am slightly flexible on price. I’m not going to give them away though, because they aren’t going bad in my basement. I’d prefer to sell to an Edmonton-area buyer because I’m not going to ship these unless the buyer offered me $200. Please let me know if you are interested.

Pics: (Remember, even though the pics make it look so, THESE TIRES ARE NOT TOTALLY BALD. Look at the tops of the tires in the pics and you can clearly see that the tread lines are not completely gone.)

Hmm, i would love to get a hold of these…would you be willing to hold on to them until later this spring when i come up to edmonton? Let me know, thanks, chris.

I would imagine so! I seriously think whoever buys these is going to get a hell of a lot of use out of them, especially if they’re used as drag tires!

Thing is, im not even sure that some people would pass these on the safety inspection… :slight_smile: Im still interested though…i just have to make up my mind as far as a few things go.

Do you think they would pass an OOP inspection ?

They are technically DOT legal, but if your inspector gets out the tread depth guage I think the game would be over. Plus, they’re so soft that they wouldn’t last you very long on the street at all.

No way in hell they would pass OOP, i was thinking safety at the race track… :?

Ahh…good question!

I wish I could check our local tech regulations, but bud park has been promising to post them for years and hasn’t bothered.

Then again, full on race slicks don’t have any tread at all, so what difference does it make? :smiley:

It is my hand, and it’s a “Taken off the market” ring. :E Who knows, could become an engagement ring soon enough. :E
