This laptop would make a good tuning laptop,the only downside is that it doesn’t have a battery.The screen has a small white spot on it which is hardly visible unless you’re viewing something with a black background.It runs XP good,surfs the web just fine.I can install a copy of XP on it free of charge.A battery will run $40 for a brand new one on eBay,used ones that hold a good charge will run $20-$25.
what size HDD, what kind of ram does it take and is it upgradeable, im looking for something that will be more usable then just for tuning as too. is everything in working order? im quite interested in this laptop.
edit: nvm 20g HDD, do you still have the original battery so we know what to look for when getting a new one.
Yes,everything is in working order.Max memory this laptop takes is 1gb,its PC133.
Ebay prices for ram are usually $10-$15 for 128mb,$20-$25 for 256mb and $40 for a 512.
A battery will run around $40 shipped to your door (brand new) or $20-$30 used that holds a good charge.I just go on ebay and type in “C610 battery” and a ton of auctions come up.
