They will be shorter than lowering springs made for and SN-95 and they are deseigned for a lighter car so you may very well be on the ground with them.
I’ve heard of using 4cyl springs without cutting them. Some people may cut them, I don’t know. I do know that the SN95 is a heavier car and the suspsension is taller by design. 4cyl springs would have an even lower spring rate than V8 springs. I’d got to Stangnet.com or corral.net and ask. I have forgetten more about Mustang suspension than most people know.
The springs are for any Mustang from 79-04. And I know guys put 4 cylinder springs in the front of their stangs cause it brings the front end up higher when they launch but never in the rear. I’ve never heard of them being used to lower them.
4 Cyl springs have a lower rate than the V8s because of the lower weight of the 4 banger. Hence a heavier V8 front end will compress the springs more and lower the car. I don’t see how that would benefit drag racing, unless they have a higher rate of rebound.
I know lots of people who have put 4 Cyl spring in their foxes for the lowering it brings. I just went for Eibachs…my spine hates me now.
They have good weight transfer, because their so “squishy”. They really only work if you have a good set of drag shocks, and stock or lowering rear springs with hardly any play.
