ok, i have my eye on something else now. i have used it a few times with my D50. works great. it is like brand new. i will throw in a UV filter too. i have never even had this lens without one of those on, so the glass is perfect.
i still have all the paperwork/box and all. both endcaps. everything is pristine.

Might want to mention if it has VR. That is a big feature for such a lens.
I’m guessing it’s not a VR. Those are $600+ new.
