I’m thinking that it’s time to sell my snowmobiles because I don’t have the time to ride, and I don’t have room to store them. I would really like to sell it all as a package, only because I don’t want to be stuck with just one thing, but if the price is right I will sell.
The first sled is a 1998 arctic cat zr600 efi. This one has about 6000 miles on it. It is a limited edition pearl white, really nice looking and very comfortable to ride. It has heated grips and thumb and the optional rearview mirrors. The previous owner had the motor rebuilt at Jancen last year right before I bought it, and he also went through the suspension around the same time. The track has picks and I have a new set of skags still in the package. I have the owners manual and an arctic cat cover that go with it. It also has an aftermarket clutch, I don’t remember what brand it is though.
The second sled needs a little work. It is a 1992 polaris indy 500, it was EFI but the previous owner changed it over to carbs. I only got to ride it about 20 miles and it quit, since I had the arctic cat, I never bothered seeing what was wrong with it until this week. It turns out that the nuts that hold the cylinder to the crank case were never torqued so the backed off and ended up cracking the cylinder. I purchased an engine out of a 93, but I haven’t measured the cylinders yet to make sure they are the right bore for the pistons that are in the original motor. Just before I bought it the motor was rebuilt, it has hot rods in it, and I don’t know what kind of pistons. I also just bought a repair manual and a top end gasket kit that will go with it. This one has a pretty nice black paint job, a travelcade seat, and new camoplast plastic skis with fresh skags…only 20 miles on them last year. If I have the time, I will put it all together but the price may go up a little. It was pretty quick when it was running and everything was real tight.
The trailer is a 2 place open trailer with a ramp that slides under the back. The axle does have electric brakes, but they aren’t hooked up, and it looks as though they haven’t been hooked up in years. It’s nothing fancy, but it tows nice down the road and gets the job done.
The price on everything is $2400
Here are a couple of pictures, they’re the only ones I have, if someone is really interested, I could take some more pics, but they’re not at my house right now, so it would take a little bit. They are located in sanborn, NY and if you want to come take a look, you can call me at 716-998-7688
