Gateway Destination XTV multimedia system

This was one of Gateway’s top of the line systems back a few years, iirc it was almost $4k including the surround system when I originally bought it all. I know it’s older and obviously pales in comparison to today’s standards in terms of strictly computer-wise but as a cheap multimedia system it’s still pretty cool to have and has a bunch of sweet features. I’d keep it but just don’t want to have to deal with lugging it all when we move to nc in a few months, plus its still at my parents house so I don’t even use it anymore

Features include:

27" monitor w/ built-in stereo speakers
Built-in tv/cable tuner w/picture-in-picture (ATI All-In-Wonder)
Wireless keyboard & remote, both can control all computer & tv functions
Front a/v panel
DVD-rom drive
Celeron 366 processor
Windows 98 installed
Network & Internet ready

I have all cables, 2 complete remote keyboard/mouse/receiver sets, original certificates, system/restore discs, manuals, etc

It has the Boston Acoustics Digital Theater 6000 5.1 surround system with it, but I haven’t decided whether I want to sell or keep that quite yet

will update with the rest of the specs on the system asap

640x480 on a 27" screen? Can you like see the pixels?

believe it or not being such a large screen you’re at least a few feet back from it so its not as bad as you’d think, unless you have some siqq 20/17 eagle eye vision

I always kept it set at 800x600, that way both tv and computer content is all just about the size you would want it from a couple feet away

although yes 640x480 does suck a little. Looks like watching tv on duplo blocks lol

bump

someone take this

bump again cmon guys dont make me lug this to nc

if someone REALLY wants the surround system with it I’ll consider throwing it in just to get rid of the rest of the system, not interested in selling separately tho

this could make a hilarious gag gift… hmm.
