what kind of warranty do these expensive units come with?

Sorry, just realized I didn’t answer this question here yet.

Apexi states that there is no warranty on PowerFc units in their product documentation:

It’s $425 CAD for the Boost Control Kit.

Avery and Quincy are you confirmed?

If the cut-off is 28th and we don’t know what the final pricing will be (since
there are two prices for 5 and 10 people), how much of a deposit do you want?

I can give you 50% of the cost for with 5-people.

Let me know when/where I can give you the $. West-End meet before Feb. 28th perhaps?

Gonad, most people are sending me EMT deposits, but if you want to meet up, I can meet with you tonight/tomorrow, then I’m out of town until the 26th and I won’t have access to the internet.

50% of the 5 people price is fine, also if you want the D-Jetro unit, you will need to pay a 50% deposit on the sensors as well.

If anyone wants to pay thru EMT or paypal, the email address to use is phillip dot yap at gmail dot com (just remove the non bold words and replace them with . @ and . so that it makes a valid email addy.)

I’ll update the list with any payments as soon as I get back (late on the 26th)

Sounds good Phil. I will forward you a deposit through EMT just before the deadline.

I am not confirmed. I don’t even know if I want a D-or L Jetro yet. Is there any price difference in the 2 units other than the sensors?

See first post. ECU cost same, MAP kit is another $260. Well worth the
upgrade imho. I don’t believe you can add on the MAP kit later with the L-Jetro ECU.

I’m not sure exactly what’s in the boost control kit, from my understanding, the Power FC unit can control boost up to one bar, over that and you need the boost control kit.

So if you will only be running one bar, then you don’t need the boost control unit.

Maybe if someone who actually has experience with the Power FC could tune in here. Dan?

As for the price, that is what it sells for, I don’t know if you can use a universal solinoid or w/e to make it work. Maybe you could try it out?

MSRP on it is $389 USD without shipping/customs.

Hey Ty

As far as I know the Boost Controller Kit for the PFC is all the hardware typically found with the AVC-R.

So not only do you have a boost sensor but also a stepping motor / actuator and all other crap.

Therefore, the price for this is going to very compatible to that of the AVC-R seeing as how it is essentially the same thing.

That being said - many PFC guys have opted to not use the boost controller option and have gone with the standalone AVC-R. The AVC-R has far more adjustabilty / features that th PFC unit.

The only advantage the PFC boost conroller has is that it will cut fuel if/when there is a boost spike…but any AVC-R user will tell you that simply doesn’t happen when setup correctly.

Dan, I’ve just been reading up a bit more on it, but since I don’t have actual experience with the unit, this is all specualtion, but I believe the PFC boost control kit also comes with a 3 bar map sensor which is needed to run more than 17 psi, have you run more than that yet and if you did, where there any problems?

Yeah - it does - but it is the same 3bar MAP that comes with the AVC-R.

The PFC boost controller is really just all the hardware from an AVC-R but the boost adjustment is done through the commander.
