This Generator NEEDS AN ENGINE.

It is a 6500 Watt Porter Cable Generator powered by a 13HP Honda Engine.

Has just shy of 300 hours on it, I got it used, and used it for two months.

Has provisions for 2 GFI regular household plugs 2 120V and 1 240V plugs.

Built in breaker, this thing is heavy duty, and heavy, has wheels and handle for moving it around.

Good for parts or fix it, used this for about 2 months and it took a shit, never pulled it apart to see what was wrong with it, but its Engine related, believe it locked up (broke rod or bent crank).

I looked up some parts that this generator has, a stator goes for $1000, Generator head for $1200, etc etc. Worth the $350 I’m asking.

Reason I’m selling it is I got a smaller one that I use to run 2 shop lights, this one was a little overkill anyways.

Any reason why the engine failed on it?
no oil changes, too much oil… blah blah?

my dad has a PC 6500 generator, ill see what he’s got… he may want some spare parts for his if it’s compatible.

I’d rather sell this whole than part it out.

We got it used, and the previous 200 hours of use was unknown usage to me.

When changed the oil twice in the 100 or so hours we used it. These 13HP Honda GX series engines are prone to snapping the rod so the dealer says.
