Just curious if you have thought about wind power and or solar? Both have gotten considerably cheaper in the last few years (although I haven’t priced them out).
The only reason I bring it up is that there is a guy up in Northern NY (Richville) that only uses a wind mill + batteries and has a diesel generator for back-up. I think he said he makes about $70 a month on feeding the grid. This was a few years ago.
Thought it would be something to think about given that you said you have some land. Obviously it isn’t mainstream so it’s not vor everyone…
