Err no fly cutting necessary to run an ms4.
every car is different…their is a shit load of people on LS1tech that had to fly cut their pistons with a MS4…and theirs a shit load that didnt.
its a hit or miss.
you dont need a big cam to run fast, you also dont need a big cam to make big power, i think you miss the point, lots of people jump on the bandwagon and try to stuff the biggest cam in as possible and they are disappointed with the outcomes, i would just go with a tr224 with some ported heads if it were me
I understand this. But I have done the research and the MS3 is what fits my needs…Im not a dig racer like you…and Im also a M6 so I can more control over my powerband.
The motors all have the same bore/stroke so why would some people need to fly cut pistons if they are on stock heads? :confused
you can get MS4’s in different LSA’s…
edit: im reading that you can get away with it on stock heads, but most aftermarket heads you need to fly cut the pistons…
Yea if you are going from a moving start. The auto will launch consistant almost every time where the manual won’t unless there is some sort of launch control
So stick with the one that works with stock engines

He went with a different cam stating the one wouldn’t work
the only need to flycut is when you do aftermarket heads that have bigger valves, because the valves slap against the piston because the cam is literally to big for the engine

I was dead set on the MS4…but I think the MS3 suites me better. Plus I got a brand new MS3 from a upstate Shop owner and hes hooking me up on the cam install and dyno tune…they both have the same power bands. 2400-6800
is the pocketrocketlt1 an automatic or 6speed?
he ran a 13.2 at 102… on street tires maybe? or was it DR’s lol. his trap kinda sucks.

i ran 13.7 @ 101 with an exhaust on my old lt1, so that does sound way off
