It’s really easy to tell. The thicker strings would by nylon (plasticy looking) or Steel “coiled” strings like pictured below:
The look of that would lead me to believe it’s a nylon, or originally was a nylon strung guitar. It also looks to be a children’s guitar possibly or just a shorter scale.
