Most hypocrites either don’t realize they are being hypocritical or, in the case of the PETA VP, make up some kind of excuse in an attempt to justify it. You’d have better luck getting Newman to like f-bods than you would convincing these people of their hypocrisy.

Nature has a way of finding an equilibrium, hunters are not “needed”. In fact, they fuck up that equilibrium by killing the top predators that would take care of the rabbit problem. So please don’t try bringing that into it. I guess you can say they created a need for themselves since they are the only top predator left, humans not liking the fact that living with other top predators means having a couple stupid humans get eaten from time to time.
Say you want to go shoot a deer because its fun and you like eating deer, I have no problem with that, but don’t tell me you’re a critical part of the ecosystem. It was here long before bullets were ever invented.
But, don’t think for one second I want to stop hunters. My boss has one deer already, and probably got his second this weekend. When he asked if I wanted any venison I said of course. The fact is deer are overpopulated because we’ve forced their populations into smaller and smaller areas. Thats life, we’re currently on top of the food chain, sucks to be a deer. I’m a realist, I know we’re not going to give that land back to the deer, so it’s either thin out their numbers or constantly run into them with my car. Given those two choices, I’ll take venison sausage please, with a side of venison jerky.

…you would have taken away 20 points for not nutting up and grilling it in the snow. Still delicious but I wished I had grilled it afterwards. As for the Genny Lite, eh it’s Genny Lite. It usually doesn’t even get a glass.
That reminds me, that was only 1/3 of the steak. I’m gonna go start soaking the other 2/3’s in worcester to break it down a little. Fucker was tough…
Anyhow, I’m all for the ethical treatment of animals but PETA seems to get a lot of attention for losing sight of their mission when they go to extremes. Makes me wonder if the whole organization is nut jobs or if it’s the same old “extremist minority gets a ton of media attention and now the whole group has a bad rap” type of thing. I really don’t know. :gotme:

As for PETA… I’m gonna go with nut jobs. They may go to extremes to get the attention but nut jobs all the same.
